Today, the Central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan hosted a reporting meeting chaired by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Myratgeldi Meredov, where the results of work of the industry over the past seven months of 2018 were discussed, as well as the implementation of the instructions that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave to the heads of the complex at the meeting on the modernization of the industry, held on May 29, 2018, were reviewed.
During the meeting, the reports were made by the State Minister, the Chairman of the State concern «Turkmengas» M. Archaev, Chairman of the State concern «Turkmennebit» D. Khadjiev, Chairman of the State corporation «Turkmengeology» Sh Abdrakhmanov, Director of the Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries D. Byashimov and Chairman of CJSC «Nebitgazhyzmat» N. Charyev.
In their speeches, the heads and employees of the enterprises and institutions of the complex reported on the work performed and the plans for 2018, as well as on the progress of the instructions that the head of the state gave to the heads of the complex at the recent meeting.
In particular, it was reported that the plan for oil and gas condensate production was implemented by 102 percent, oil refining – by 103.2 percent, gasoline production – by 101.4 percent, diesel fuel – by 103.8 percent, lubricants – by 119 percent. Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate of polypropylene production was 103.2 percent, and of the investment – 107 percent.
After hearing the reports, Vice-Chairman Meredov, noting the unsatisfactory level of liquefied gas production, gave the relevant managers specific instructions to increase this figure.
The reports also included information on the construction of a gas chemical complex in Kiyanli and a plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ovadan-depe. In this regard, the Vice-Chairman noted the special importance of accelerating the construction and commissioning of gas chemical complexes.
Also during the meeting it was reported about the measures taken for the practical implementation of initiatives to diversify the routes of energy carriers to the world markets, in particular about the progress of the construction of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India, which is under way in accordance with the plan.
Having heard the reports, the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers M. Meredov noted the special importance of the timely solution of the problems connected with attraction of investments for the development of this complex.
At the end of the meeting, Vice-Chairman M. Meredov, noting the essential importance of the oil and gas sector in the stable development of the country’s economy, stated that the adoption of comprehensive measures for the successful solution of the tasks outlined in the «Program for the development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan for the period up to 2030» and the timely execution of all orders and the achievement of the goals set by the President of Turkmenistan to the heads of industry, is a priority for each employee of the industry.
